Lela Rose has signed a deal with Payless to be their second designer collaboration that will be available in the September timeframe. The contract also includes a Holiday ’07 collection and expected in stores in November. Both seasonal lines are expected to include footwear, handbags and other accessories. The Payless styles are inspired by the runway collection, the fall ’07 inspiration styles consists of four silhouettes done in a unique mix of textures including menswear fabric, velvet, flannel and patent leather. The evening and d’Orsay styles carry classic “Lela feminity” with unique shoe-lace bows and spectator details, while the bootie is a stronger with substantial leather and stitching. This collection def sounds promising and I’m always looking for new shoes for work, but keep in mind that the Payless styles will not be exactly the same as the runway, just expect similarities…
