Entering this neighborhood treasure is like stepping back in time to a favorite college-era bakery, where pretty women in bandanas worked behind the counter to make enough money to ride off with Jerry and company during the summer. The vibe is hard to resist, and there’s a single small table for anyone who wants to linger. - Citysearch
A MUST GO spot if you luv cupcakes, this is by far my favorite spot for cupcakes! Its literally right across the street from the Marc by Marc Jacobs Special Items Store…you can hit up both spots while you’re in the neighborhood! YUMMY, can’t resist them…I might go for some this weekend, perhaps I’ll see you guys there? If you’re getting more that 12 cupcakes at once be sure to go with extra people, b/c this ish is limited haha! Be patient b/c there’s always a wait, but the wait isn’t that long…its well worth it! Peep the delicious pics after the jump…

my yummies…

ugh, girl you are ruining my diet with these pics! now i’m going to have to go get some cupcakes this weekend. i can’t get enough of magnolia’s cupcakes, but the line just to get into the bakery is ridiculous. i’ve never waited on the line, you just have to choose the day and time you go to magnolia’s carefully.
Personally I don’t like their cupcakes, I like CUPCAKE CAFE better… much more fatten yay!
I’m not a fan of Magnolia either, their cupcakes are sickeningly sweet and overly hyped…they are made with cheap sugar icing. For real buttercream icing, Crumb’s pretty darn good~!!!
I like babycakes…. they look cute and are vegan and practically hypo-allergenic.. (sp?)
I’ve never had one from magnolia.. but I’ve always admired the look of there treats..
Stumbled across this place at the end of a night of dinner and drinks — friends and I packed up our box of cupcakes to be inhaled at home. LOVE the frosting. LOVE the non-vegan. LOVE the CLASSIC REAL HOMEMADE CUPCAKE TASTE. —- so much better the butter frosting.
The folks who work there seem very cool tool
