Dragon Gate Chinese restaurant is another one of those typical Chinese restaurants in Chinatown with no special decor, they keep their customers coming back for more with their cheap prices and great food. The service is excellent there too, I’ve been there many many times, I love the food there, can’t beat the prices too. They offer free soup at the beginning of the meal and Red Bean with Tapioca Soup for dessert (my favorite!). The place is usally packed starting at around 7:30p – 8:00p (typical dinner time), but the wait is very minimal, Chinese people eat fast and don’t hog up the seats. I always eat dinner there with my parents, its one of their faves too! Be sure to check out this spot if you’re looking to eat family style Chinese food in Chinatown, I’m never disappointed there, well only when the fish is sold out! Peep the meal after the jump…

It’s quite hard to translate the Chinese dishes to English, but I’ll try my best. These are a few of my favorites! Worst comes to worst bring in a picture to show them haha…

I don’t know of any chinese restaurants with cotton candy in the front, but theres a japanese restaurant in the east village called “Kenka” where you get a cup of cotton candy mix and you make it in the machine in front of the restaurant after you’re done with your meal.

And DAMN Nitro, those salt and pepper frogs look huge, most of the places that serve them always make them so little.
