When Lucy92 told me that the Simply Vera by Vera Wang for Kohl’s collection will go on sale today a few days ago it didn’t actually kick into me yet. I was thinking it just released a few days ago on September 9th, how could it possibly go on sale in the next few days? Carla just hit me up and told me that the range is on sale and I was like, “WHAT?!!!”, it is definitely absurd to me, I don’t understand but I guess if you’re a typical Kohl’s shopper you’ll find it to be “normal”. The messed up thing is my order that I’ve placed on September 9th has just shipped out yesterday, I’m so calling Kohl’s to see if they can give me a price adjustment…if not they’re all going back! But then again, everything I’ve ordered online is sold out, bleh…what to do? I went to my local Kohl’s, and tried on some pieces. The good news was that the cuts are generous, and some things are mad cute. But on the flip, there are some truly boring things. A faux fur neck wrap? A grey cardigan with shiny buttons? Trouser socks? C’mon now! I understand that high end design doesn’t always play well in the flyover states, but as a midwesterner I’m here to say that collection could have been punched up a notch. Love the pleated tee though.
