The first thing that catches my eye or lures me in to the fragrance is the bottle or packaging. I ‘m drawn to warm tropical scents, not too fruity wear it smells like just a body spalsh but something that will last through the day… I love when I hug a guy and he says “damn you smell good” lol

I like something sweet and and strong enough so that the perfume doesnt disappear and need reapplying. I look for fragrances that not many people use, I remember everybody in my school had on cool water by davidoff. I like to use different perfumes so i don’t blend in.

The first thing I look for in a fragrance is something that smells clean, fresh and has a floral/fruity scent. It cannot be too strong in scent but layer nice and stays with me through the duration of the day. I love a scent where a person will walk by and say, “Ooh what are you wearing, I gotta have that”.
I love soft and sweet scents. Nothing too strong or overwhelming but will linger throughout the day.

I look for the smell of the perfume. I don’t want a perfume that smells too much like cologne. I love very feminine smelling scents. The fragarance I will typical choose is one that smells fresh like water or a fruity smell. What makes me buy a certain one is the celebrity factor, brand and price. If I hear that a celebrity wears a certain perfume I will check it out. If it’s a brand that I’m familiar with and if the price is right for the size of the container, and if it has a fantastic smell that is not overpowering I will typically buy it.

I like fun flirty scents. The packaging has to be nice, whether its over the top or extremely minimalistic, it has to have a nice design concept. I don’t like anything too strong because being “that person” in an enclosed space is not a good look. Also, I just don’t like things that smell like someone is allergic to it.

I like my fragrances to be fun (that includes the packaging!) and delicious. I like foody smells (vanilla, fruit, etc), but a whiff of subtle florals can be divine.

My ideal fragrance is subtle and light, but has an undertone of sweetness. I like fresh scents, sweet scents and floral scents as well. I also love notes of citrus, vanilla and gardenia in my fragrances. What makes me buy a fragrance, other than the scent of course, is the bottle and the color of the perfume; I often find that I am most satisfied with my outfits when the color of the perfume matches the colors of my outfit. The notes of the perfume also must convey a certain emotion or vibe that illustrates my outfit, which is an important factor to look for in a fragrance.

In the scent itself, it can’t be too strong, but last long, and enough to make people say that I smell nice. I always look for fragrances that are classic and feminine. I love when I put on a really girly scent that just reminds me of wearing a fun outfit with the right attitude. Fragrance should express your mood and I believe that anything flirty with a hint of mystery is something that any girl could pull off whether she’s from the city or a small town. I love soft and gentle fragrances, nothing overbearing or resembling an air freshener! As long as it fits my mood, I love it!

The first thing I look at is how the bottle is designed, like you I go for nicely designed bottles. Then my final decision comes down to the smell, I don’t like anything is too strong.

I like fragrances that have a soft and Delicate smell, so something not too overpowering with a hint of “sweetness” to it. Usually I lean towards citrus-y, mixed with flora scents, that people would associate with a niice and sunny spring day. As for which fragrance I actually buy, it has to do alot with how calming/confident the scent makes me feel and the overall packaging and presentation of the item itself.

a light, fresh, possibly fruity or citrusy fragrance appeals to my senses. if i’m out for a special occasion or just casually, i’d like people to notice the scent, but in the best way possible; a scent that lasts throughout the day and without it changing is a plus also ! what makes me buy a certain perfume, you ask? first of all, picking and trying to pick a bottle, truthfully, i pick it randomly :p then i spray once on the back of my wrist and one time on the piece of paper; i walk around for a while and if i know it’s a fierce and awesome scent, i definitely buy it !

I look for scents that are delicate. And I lean towards the musky and floral scents. I would love a scent that smells like Aveda hairspray! If I smell something I like on another person, I will often ask them what it is, and run out to buy it. Those samples in magazines are a big turn off, and I won’t even open them. Some magazines smell like a big jumble of perfume samples. YUK!!! I will go as far as not reading magazines like this.
