The Balenciaga blazer from the fall 2007 RTW collection is one of the most talked about piece lately, I was never really a big fan of blazers but this piece got me oohhhing and ahhhing! With the outrageous price tag for Balenciaga, I would of never be able to afford one so I’ve turned to other alternatives. After shopping at H&M at 5th Ave two weeks ago, while I was heading to the train station I passed by J.Crew (haven’t shopped there in ages) and the window caught my attention (pic after the jump) as they were hard-selling the Lexington Jacket that looked very Balenciaga-inspired! I zoomed in and copped the jacket immediately, the jacket was originally $250 but they were having a promotion for $198. The jacket/blazer is super fitted and I love the detailing especially the buttons. I also really like the Ralph Lauren Custom Flannel Blazer, but its $698 so I’ll just settle with mine for now haha. There’s one at Zara that looks very similiar too I think its about $89? Its navy stripe with red flower buttons. It looks cute as well.
well 250 $ for j.crw blezer is to muc in my opinion , i love the u.o version – cheap and nice , not so obvious plus the H&M ( say hello to ralph ) is also intresting ( but i still don’t know if it from woman dep. or maybe kids ? )
ughhhhh the j crew blazer is beautifulllll. i can’t believe it was on sale i thought it was impossible to get any more. i am vair jealous.
I searched high and low for a Balenciaga style blazer a couple a months ago and got the jcrew version too, though I got the gray and white. $250 isn’t too much for a blazer of this quality. Seriously, it’s so well made, fits like a dream and the buttons are amazing. I’ll have it forever. I did have to get the sleeves shortened almost 2″. Retrogurl, did you notice the insanely long sleeves too?

Love this look. It took them a while, but Forever 21 now has a Balenciaga-inspired blazer, too.
