La Prairie: The Smart Cream & Luxe Eye Lift Cream

I’m a very particular person when it comes to beauty products, especially for the face and eyes. Using the wrong kind of lotion can mess up your skin. You can’t go cheap on your skin, especially for your face – I mean everyone looks at your face first right? I’ve been testing this La Prairie Cellular Moisturizer SPF 15: The Smart Cream for about a month now and I absolutely love it! The smoothness and subtle smell is a plus but most important my skin gets really dried during the Winter months, this cream keeps my skin moisturized for the whole day! This cream is an all around cream perfect for anyone in their 20s. It contains SPF 15 (very important for day cream), hydrates and reduces the appearance of fine lines (not that we should worry too much about this right now, but early prevention is a plus).

In addition to face cream, you should always use eye cream as well. I know a lot of people that just use their face cream for their eyes as well, but the area around the eyes is very sensitive. I’m a bit lazy about it too but I’ve gotten better with applying it this year, recently I’ve been sampling (got to test it out before splurging on it) the La Prairie ‘Skin Caviar’ Luxe Eye Lift Cream and it seems like its doing well. It attacks my puffiness, dark under-eye circles (especially when I have lack of sleep) and dryness! Anyone tried La Prairie products before? If so, anything you can recommend? I used to steal my mothers when I was younger [I've been obsessed with keeping my skin line free and perfect since I was 12] and it’s seriously amazing. One of my favorite products, that as a poor college student, I can no longer afford. I think anything in the line [besides the make-up, thats a joke/bad idea whoever thought it'd sell well and people would pay for it] is great. Your recommendations are on point with what I think girls in their early 20’s should be focusing on.

i had no idea you can use la prairie when you are in your 20s, i thought it’s a 50+ product….no wonder why i was always stopped by their SA when I walk pass their counters, I used to think they think i look old……so if you start off with these expensive creams, what do you use when you are 40 or 50?

  • i'd rather be at target says:

i’ve tried the eye cream before and if anything, I’ve noticed no changes at all. maybe i party too hard for the creme to keep up with. I actually use Creme de la Mer and it works wonders on my skin, as well as under my eyes. Dior’s hydraction eye cream is also amazing.

I’ve just finished using a jar of La Praire Skin Caviar luxe cream. Though, I like the texture and smell but to be honest I find that the cream is a little to heavy for my skin.. perhaps its because Im living in country where the weather is 80 degree 365/24/7. Yesterday, I bought the Cellular Time Release and Cellular Anti-Spot brightening serum and I actually really like it. I can tell that my skin is more radiant and even toned when I woke up this morning.
For my eye cream, I’ve used the Cellular Revitalizing eye gel. I can’t really tell anythin different around my eyes area- I guess this is more of a maintainance product. I’ve switched to Cellular eye contour cream. I hope this works.. anyone out there who could recommend a good eye product for lines and dark circle is appreciated,
My La Praire all time fav product is the foam cleanser.. It really leaves your skin a really clean feeling while actually reallyyyyyyy clean your face.. Love it!!
Anyone who has tried both La Mer and La Praire please advise the differences between the two and which one do you prefer. Thx
