After the craze of the Chanel Black Satin nail polish last year, Chanel has introduced Blue Satin (461). As seen on the models of the Chanel Spring 2008 RTW runway, this look has already gotten girls running out to cop a bottle. The Chanel spring 2008 makeup collection consists of a springtime spectrum of blues, soft pinks and opalescent whites. Chanel.com has already sold out of this color, but NeimanMarcus.com still has it available – cop it before it gets backordered or sold out. Since I had a gift certificate from Henri Bendel, I stopped by during lunch yesterday. Copped three bottles of the Blue Satin (one to use, one to collect and the other for someone), spent the gc wisely otherwise there would be nothing I want in there for $60 haha. There’s still plenty of stock left at the store so swingby if you’re in the neighborhood, this color will sure fly off shelves soon because eBay buyers have already started stocking up. I have yet to try on the color but like the Black Satin I won’t be one bit disappointed their polish provide long-lasting, chip-resistant, protective color and shine, that’s why it’s $19 a pop! haha, i’m wearing it right now, also got the OPI Russian Navy, as my friend and I are torn between the two colors (i like this one better). i have to admit, it’s different from the black satin, it doesn’t have the sparkle appeal. from what i heard, the OPI one does. interesting, coz it was vice versa when they both had black nail color. and I gotta say, Chanel’s brush has improved this time. the black satin one was worse than drugstore brands. gotta tell you one more thing, i found your blog by googling the black satin nail color over a year ago.
im wearing it right now too, copped it at bloomingdales on 59th yesterday and love it
is it shiny? shiny as in glittery?
Hey I bought OPI’s Russian Navy the day atfter X-Mas,and wearing it right now, I didn’t think the shade would be trend.
i am soooo inlove with this polish Chanel’s shades are always amazing
OMG I love the Russian Navy by OPI, I have 3 bottles of it. Maybe I will try this,but it kinda just seems like a waste of money because the OPI one is just as good as my Black Satin Chanel one.
I bought Blue Satin and I’m soo disappointed. I have fair skin and on me it looks practically identical to Black Satin. It does NOT look blue at all. People have asked me if I am wearing black nail polish. If you want a blue nail polish, I’d try OPI or Essie – this is does NOT look blue ladies.
Oh by the way, it’s NOT glittery at all.
