Yesterday my buddy Mark Kwan invited me, B, my bro, Shawn and Annie to the Cloverfield screening. I’ve been anticipating this film ever since I’ve seen the trailer at the theater a few months ago, my first guess was that they were reproducing Godzilla. JJ Abrams, creator of Alias and Lost and director of Mission: Impossible III, produced Cloverfield, gotta love the viral marketing – no leaks no nothing! Amazing! The screening was so packed yesterday, everyone and their moms wanted to get in…when we got to the theater the line was mad long! Mark let us in the theater before anyone else was let in, the theater got packed very quickly but there were still a lot of people waiting to get in. But once it gets full that’s it…I ain’t gonna lie a few years back I’ve lined up for a few screenings before and I told myself I’d never do it again. Luckily I got my buddy Mark Back to the Cloverfield, just a little warning if you’re planning to watch the movie…if you got slight motion sickness bring a bottle of Ginger Ale or take some pills before watching this movie (haha). But if you get nauseous really easy, then good luck. When I was warned I didn’t believe it, but 1/2 way thru the movie I felt a bit nauseous but I made it thru the whole movie haha. I would suck it up and watch it, I mean don’t you want to know what it is? I thought the concept of the movie was pretty good, very interesting but I would be damned to see Manhattan go down like that (I live there!!!). This film in short is, “Godzilla meets Blair Witch Project“. Cloverfield hits theaters on 01.18.2008, be sure to watch it and let me know your thoughts! Spoiler after the jump…

is the whole movie supposed to be someone walking around with a stupid camera like their really taping all tha hell breaking lose, if so let me know cuz i aint goin no more then. i hate movies like that all they do is give me headaches cuz its to much shaking, i got a headache no lie jus watchin the clip

is it really a godzilla movie? i thought it would be more like judgement day.

Okay, this movis NOT stupid. People are judging it already and it makes me angry.
I saw a screening of this on Tuesday. I have never been this scared during a movie in my entire life. I felt the fear that the characters were going through. I had a knot in my stomach the whole time and I almost cried at the end cause I was so overwhelmed.
The camera is only shaky when they’re running but it allows you to take in all the action. It’s not just another Blair Witch. This movie is worth all the hype and it NEEDS to be seen in theaters.

I watched it yesterday and Monique, you’ll hate it! I got really nausea 20 minutess into it but didn’t want to sit outside while all my friends continued to watch so stayed for the whole film. I have to say, the film itself was pretty good but I just hated the way it was shot.
