This post is specially for the men that visit nitro:licious, I don’t usually post up men’s stuff but I’ve gotten a few requests. These are new images from the H&M Men Spring 2008 collection, are you men feelin’ these? “For Spring 2008 the design team was inspired by new materials, high-tech sportswear-inspired fabrics as well as classic tailoring and 90s minimal looks. It’s really exciting because we have very open-minded customers who like to embrace the new,” says H&M’s head of design Margareta van den Bosch. INSPIRATION: Tailoring with sportswear influence, work wear, uniform classics and folk style romanticism. More pics and info after the jump…
It’s a crisp and clean Spring where the focus is on details. Blazer jackets are single-breasted with peak lapel in sleek grey linen. Wear with the essential silver shirt to heighten the sheen. Trousers are the new secret weapon, with sleek straight leg shapes being styled with a turn-up for a 60s effect, or with front-pleats giving a new relaxed shape. When the weather warms up, these front-pleats reappear on shorts to greet the sun with the most tailored look yet. Match them with a mandarin collar jersey to really play with tradition.
For a relaxed style, it’s the layering pieces that work the best. A sleeveless cardigan has uniform detailing on the shoulders to keep the shape tight, which looks great worn over an orange T-shirt. To play around some more, wear a bold black-and-white striped vest over the top of a grey long-sleeve jersey, meanwhile grey linen waistcoats give focus to white mandarin collar shirts. Want to take it further? Get a scarf. Voluminous batique scarves add structure to the most casual looks, while a strip of thin grey jersey is the finishing touch to the city looks.
Nylon brings a fresh snap to menswear in volume and texture. To update the city look, get the must-have H&M nylon parka, a paperweight piece that sets a suit in flight. It looks most modern in white, but if the shape feels nostalgic – it’s available in khaki, too. Nylon brings a real jolt to the look when it comes in electric blue zip-up, cropped at the waist. To make this blue pop the loudest, wear it with black – even get the black nylon zip-up with electric blue trim. For the ultimate in shine, get the stand-out black patent biker jacket, which gives new dynamism to a classic shape. Note that the nylons and patents are for the top half of the body – the look will be even more effective if it is mixed up with the textures kept from sheen. 6 Responses to “H&M Men Spring 2008 – The New Classics”![]() COMMENTS PAGE:![]() |

ooooo fancy!
I’m digging the last jacket. I usually just get jeans from H&M, most of their jackets are crap (quality).
But I guess you can’t expect something that cheap… I usually throw my jeans within 3 months anyways.
yes ! there mens stuff is getting a lil more fashionable. i found something at an h&m like a few weeks ago but im not sure when it came out. anyways it was a grey track jacket but the neck part was exxagerated and very long. so if u zipped it all the way up the neck was baggy enough to cover your face without the sweater actually rising up, haha. very unique
thank you retrogurl for a peek at the men’s spring collection.
Thank you so much for posting for us male fans! These pics don’t really do any justice for the Spring’08 collection. These garments looks like regular repetitive merchandise that they have all the time in stores. The styling is even worst. I guess they wanted to give us ” right off the street everyday guy looks” because they look really plain to me. I don’t feel like buying any of these. Their spring preview pics that you already posted here are much better. I bought the shiney electric blue nylon jacket and the black blazer with the grey trimmed around the collar already
All argentinians boys!!!
