The adidas by Stella McCartney Collection will enter its seventh season this Spring. Keeping to tradition, every season a new sport category is added to the line; late last year adidas has introduced Golf, a natural extension of the collection’s concept. The adidas by Stella McCartney S/S ’08 Collection highlights the fusion of fashion mixed with function; sport combined with style. The Golf collection takes inspiration from men’s silhouettes and traditional sports tailoring – combined with a playful yet elegant silhouettes and lightness within both fabric and design. As usual adidas by Stella McCartney promises to fuse performance and style, you can keep stylish while doing sports. Soft stretch fabrics and pristine smart polo’s fit perfectly with cropped Codura jackets – looking chic on the green was never this easy! In addition, the line consists of key looks for après sport (e.g. on the way to the club house breaks). The highly functional golf footwear introduces the Garbato shoe which offers waterproof technology while showing great attention to details such as embroidery eyelets and a removable kiltie tongue allowing different style options. Prices range from $35.00 for golf gloves to $250.00 for the golf jackets. ”I think it is about time that women who play golf can now echo what they wear in everyday life on the green. I love Stella McCartney and her work. I am so excited to see this new line in the stores…even though I don’t play golf.
this is like a must purchase collection! Lacoste shirts are like my fav for golf… finally something cool for golf haha I’m so getting the gloves!
There are some pieces here that I love, but doesn’t anyone get annoyed by this photoshoot? That model can’t play golf – that’s no kind of swing at all. How much would it have cost to put a golf pro on the photoshoot to put her into a position at least approximating a swing? And what is she doing with a driver in the rough?
Am I the only woman golfer to feel a bit insulted by this?
I agree with you Carla, it made my blood boil when I saw this advert – it does women no favours showing a swing like that!! Shoot the stylist and photographer!

i’m a woman golfer too and i looove fashion.
the models are a bit insulting, yet the collection is beautiful.
in addition, i can’t golf if my hair’s not tied back.
the models with their hair down sorta bothered me too.

MAYBE IF YOU GET A BLOW DRY BEFORE YOU TEE OFF YOU WONT NEED TO TIE IT BACK…COOL CLOTHES ARE FOR COOL WOMEN GOLFERS
