Earlier this month, lucy92 has tipped me off about the Tara Subkoff for Bebe for collaboration but there were no images so I held off on posting about it. Today, WWD has posted one look from the line, the capsule collection will hit stores this Saturday, February 2nd. Tara Subkoff is best-known as the founding designer of the Imitation of Christ brand, and the deal with Bebe will be her second collaboration with a retailer. Three years ago, Subkoff designed a line of footwear for Easy Spirit (remember my fab boots?). The 12-piece Tara Subkoff for Bebe collection retails from less than $100 for tops and skirts to $120 to $150 for pants, dresses and a signature trench. The quilted heart-shaped “Tara” bag retails for $79. Will you check this collection out? edit: edit 2: Two more pics after the jump…

never ever ever ever. omg. bebe is already gross and adding someone who’s an awful designer to the mix, is not smart. especially for those prices? get some bcbg instead. i mean seriously. gross.
also as a photographer…that picture makes me cringe and the model looks so out of it/disconnected. even the lookbook sucks, and if the lookbook sucks, the clothing can’t be any better in real life.
I like the heart-bag and the outfit with the striped tshirt. I don’t normally like bebe but this collaboration seems nice.
i have found some good things at bebe. some of it wears incredibly well (ie holds up to repeated washings)
im a big fan of tara’s so i will no doubt purchase a few of these items.
and im very glad this heart trend is continuing!
yuup..the line is OK..like i work for Bebe and i can actually take a few pics n send it to ur emal Retro, we got the shipment in already. but is ehh okay, nothing extravagant to me.
There are more pictures on bebe.com
um tara is a great designer and all the best designers are known for copying her. like karl lagerfeld and belenciaga. clearly if you dont like her as designer then your clueless. and bcbg is dumb.
