Maison Martin Margiela is definitely not the first shoe designer to release a pair of cork shoes but if my memory haven’t failed me, this is the first pair of Cork Pump (correct me if I’m wrong please). For example, there is the Christian Louboutin African Queen Cork Slingbacks and many more, but not an all cork pump. I’m honestly not a huge fan of cork shoes but this pair of MMM cork pumps ($545) just draws my attention to it, it’s simple and unique. In addition to the Cork Pump, there is also a Cork Peep Toe Sandal, Cork Clutch, Cork Necklace and a Cork Belt. Fab or not?
Loeffler Randall made a pair of cork pumps and flats a couple of seasons ago… Spring 2007
sorry i can’t find any pictures, because it’s so long ago!
funny.. i found cork pumps just like the one you showed above at ROSS for ike 12 bucks by naughty monkey. PASS..
actually Loeffler Randall has done the same style of shoe (same material, even the shape is similar) a few seasons ago =)
Marc Jacobs has some cute cork skimmers and low heels in store now. Saw them on Bleecker in early February.
I’d have to pass too. Would be paranoid about thumbtacks.
Loeffler Randall made a pair of cork pumps. It looked similar, but had metallic flecks in it. I believe the heels were a bit shorter. The style was “Hazel”.
