March 5, 2008 - Hong Kong
These past two days in HK I’ve been coming home mad beat, I think starting tomorrow I’m going to take it easy haha. It’s always like that for me, once I get to HK I tend to want to do everything all in one day. There’s just so much to do and see, I feel like a child going to the playground. For HK locals, do you recommend me going to Disneyland? I’m def going to check out Ocean Park, gotta see the Pandas haha! Any places you guys have to recommend to eat, see or shop? Holla at your gurl!
On my second day here in Hong Kong, I didn’t start shopping yet but already done a lot of walking. At lunch near where I’m staying, went to run a few errands for my parents at the Immigration Office in Wanchai. Afterwards went to see one of my closet friends, Trish over at her crib. We chit chatted for a good few hours and I played with her babies (she had two Chihuahuas but just added another to the family, now 3) - they’re super cute. Then B and I left her crib to head down to Causeway Bay to eat at one of my fave restaurants, Delicious Kitchen. Everyone must try if you’re visiting HK, the Pork Chop over Vegetable Rice is the bombs! I’m really tired, gonna hit the sack so I’ll update more tomorrow!
Rundown of day:
- Lunch at Fortune Restaurant
- Shopping at Wellcome Supermarket
- Headed to Wanchai
- Met up with Trish and chilled at her pad
- Headed to Causeway Bay
- Dinner at Delicious Kitchen (CWB)
Enjoy the pics after the jump…

Iced Lemon Tea (my fave) & Iced Milk Tea (B’s fave)

Condensed Milk & Butter Toast

Curry Fried Chicken Wings with Rice

Beef Stew Noodle Soup
More pics on page 2…

hi have you ever been to any other disneyland? if so, the hong kong disney resort is only a real small fraction what the other disney places have on offer but it’s fun anyways.
have much fun and enjoy your trip!
hong kong looks really fun…kinda reminds me of nyc somewhat…have fun!
I studied abroad in Singapore and visited Hong Kong. Me and my friends went to Hong Kong Disney and didn’t really dig it. It’s way small, but maybe they’ve expanded a little bit. Kind of expensive… and you can finish most of it in a few hours =X
mmmm the food looks so good and what a city. enjoy, and please keep posting pics!
OMG! I’m so jealous. I just went to HK in December and I miss it already! These pictures make me hungry. Haha.
hi! don’t go to disneyland…it’s soOOoo..small..it’s exactly like the one in los angles. you should hit up mak’s noodle house in central..they have the best wonton and definitely yung gee..they serve the best roast duck! shopping wise make sure you hit up mong kong! there is a street that just sells sneakers! i just went for a month during the winter! it was awesome!
It would be awesome if you could do a H&M report from HK!
I wonder if the prices are more or less expensive than ones in North America?
I love HK because everything is within walking distance. I remember walking with my BF for the whole day until our legs were so worn out! There are many shops selling cool fashion stuff and you just have to know where to look.
Will definitely go to HK again soon!
SASA! i love that store. Looking at your pics makes me want to go back to hk sooooo bad.
definitely go to ocean park– the views are amazing and the rollercoster rides are fun…aww it looks like you’re having fun in hk, i went 2 years ago and it was amazing :), my favorite city in the whole entire world.
Since you are in Hong Kong, go check out the boutique called Lens in Causeway Bay (I think). I heard it carries new talents from around the world and stop by Giordano Concepts too. Have fun!
Don’t go to HK disneyland. It really isn’t worth the money as of yet, there’s still loads of extension work being done on it. I went in the summer and from 12pm to wait until fireworks at 8pm I walked around the WHOLE park 10 times, that’s how small it is lol.
Theres nothing there that isn’t in Disneyworld etc.
But Ocean Park is a must go, lots of random fun.
Enjoy ur time there x
Shopping in hk is so much fun!
I am planning a trip myself and was reading a lot of forum lately, there are some new malls in Causeway Bay, go check out LCX and delay no more.
New Gucci Flag is opened in Central, of course you can drop by LV and Bathing Ape across the street. It’s also a most to go shop in “On Lan Street” in Central, it’s home to many fashion brands like D-mop, Martin Margiela’s and Deep Anger Jewelry store. Neigbourhood is going to open their first store in HK on the same street as well.
g0dam! your pictures make me soo hungry.
the chips in China come in like every flavor! yumm, i miss the meatloaf flavored ones
hopefully i’ll be going back summer 08, looks like your having fun!
Don’t go to Disneyland in HK! It’s really small and it hasnt actually finished contstructing all of it yet. They have another 2 worlds to build. But Ocean Park is heaps of good fun
