New York City based designer Rogan Gregory has successfully brought a powerful environmentally conscious voice to fashion. With a design sensibility that focuses on construction, pattern, shape and a devotion to Earth-sensitive materials, Gregory has acquired a cult following among fashion fanatics globally.
“My Target collection will show women that beautifully designed, affordable alluring clothing can also be environmentally friendly.” - Rogan Gregory
News first broke last December that Rogan will be collaborating with Target to release a capsule collection under their successful GO International designer collections. Then in March, he did an interview with Time Out stating that his collection will consists of only swimwear which I’m not interested in. Earlier today it has been confirmed that Rogan’s Target collection will be an “organic clothing line that’s safari-inspired”. Indeed it is, there are quite a few pieces of leopard, zebra and tiger prints and all of the cotton used in the collection is 100% certified organic. I’m not feelin’ this collection, its very “blah”, but may be a couple of pieces that I may cop like the Roll-Up Sleeve Sweater, Sleeveless Hooded Sweatshirt and Linen Striped Vest. Do you like this collection?
The range will be available at Target stores and Target.com starting May 18th to June 28th. Thanks for the pictures Ginny L.!
edit:
The collection has arrived at Target.com, shop the collection!

Meh. The only things I’d probably buy are the T-shirt in #14, and maybe one or two of the pieces in #15, depending on how they look in real life.
Posted By: K | April 10th, 2008 at 4:14 pmit looks horrible
Posted By: Lauren | April 10th, 2008 at 4:17 pmare they trying to make ugly stuff?
Posted By: sasha | April 10th, 2008 at 4:27 pmBORING!!!
Posted By: Jessica | April 10th, 2008 at 5:10 pmInteresting collection! I could totally see myself rockin’ Look #19 with a pair of blue pumps or better yet with my Classic Reebok Freestyle
Posted By: Jeannine | April 10th, 2008 at 5:15 pmdisappointed. the only items i’d consider is the dress in #12 and the vest in #15 if they’re made decent. gray tank and shirt look like aa tri-blend.
Posted By: K | April 10th, 2008 at 6:19 pmI like quite a few of the pieces, very simple and streamlined.
Posted By: something_picasso | April 10th, 2008 at 7:22 pmlook 6 makes the model look so wide and fat and she totally is not… ack
Posted By: Stephanie | April 10th, 2008 at 9:30 pmi really like that black and white pattern…and i like the first look. cant wait for that to come out.

Posted By: Glendy | April 11th, 2008 at 3:12 pmNot too impressed. Plus, I don’t see much of a direction or a sound theme in Rogan’s collection. It’s like funky, punk-style pieces and prints mixed in with bland, Gap-ish styles.
I would, however, buy looks #12 and 20!
Posted By: Little Fashion Bird | April 11th, 2008 at 8:08 pmi love it. i can’t wait to see it in person. i do agree with glendy that some of it looks gap-ish. but theres also a bunch of stuff that doesn’t and looks interesting! can’t wait for it to come in stores. it does seem a bit more pricy compared to the jovovich target line.
Posted By: megan | April 13th, 2008 at 2:03 amoh and heads up when i checked out the jovovich line at target, it was up the friday before it was supposed to be! i don’t know if it varies store to store, but it’s worth a shot to check it out the day before it’s supposed to be on the racks. =) first dibs. go international always seems to sell fast.
This definitely seems more tomboy-ish than the previous few lines. I like the idea of the boat neck plaid shirt in #06 but sense that I’d need to get it taken in to fit flatteringly. The halter dress is pretty, but for some reason I love the shirtdress.
Posted By: Chelsea | April 13th, 2008 at 6:20 pmwow- universally unflattering. I have always believed that if a designer had talent, he or she could create a look that would work on a variety of womens’ shapes and sizes. I’m not seeing that here. In fact, as someone noted previously, some of these looks make the models look dumpy. If your garment makes a size 4, 5′11″ model look bad, then 5′3″, size 10 me is not going to rush to the store to buy it.
Posted By: lin | April 14th, 2008 at 3:53 pmbor-ing. seriously lame stuff.
i almost dig the plaid shirt but (as has already been said), it’s a completely dumpy cut. ick.
Posted By: Catie H | April 16th, 2008 at 11:47 amWhat a disappointing follow-up to the fabulous JH collection!
Posted By: Mary Hall | May 5th, 2008 at 10:53 pmFUGLY sums it up. I will pass on this one, as well as the current GO Disco looking collection.
BRING BACK JH!!
I can’t wait! This looks like it could be my favorite line. Anything with leopard print makes me happy. And I hope those skinny black pants work on me.
Posted By: Beck | May 9th, 2008 at 4:24 pmWow, I am surprised by all of the negative reviews, since even Barney’s Co-op picked up the Rogan for Target line. All 3 Vogue design award winners 1.Rogan, 2. Philip Lim & 3 Crangi are all Gap-ish (in fact Lim & Crangi are selling at the Gap), but it doesn’t equate fugly. Where the J-Hawk line is on clearance at all Target stores and online. The Rogan line is expected to sell out, long before it can reach clearance. Just saying some of you may want to give the line a look in person to see why the industry likes it.
Posted By: Katie | May 14th, 2008 at 9:59 amhave you checked out the new private Go-Collection?
Posted By: Trinity | May 20th, 2008 at 11:19 amI went to my local Target to see the line in person.
Posted By: Mary Hall | May 24th, 2008 at 2:45 pmIts “not so grand”. I am weary of all the fashion reviews & the hype. Seeing is believing, and alot of this is not “wearable”. JH was very wearable & pretty. Jovovich Hawk was d esigned for women BY women and that was a big part of its success. It’ll be interesting to see if the market of women in this recession will be dying to snap up Rogan.
Everything at my target sold out already!!!
I live in NJ/NY area and I’m wondering if anybody could tell me a target that hasn’t sold out of Look #2 - the top and the shorts?
