One of the best things that happened to Old Navy First look at “The Spotlight” collection which focuses on “club gear”, expect lots of sequins, shiny materials, ruffles and girlie frocks. By adding a little “shine” to the dresses and tops, it takes a classic summer outfit into the night. The shoes are fab too, I’m hoping they’re from ON but I highly doubt it. Wow, I’m really like this collection! In the past few years, I’ve only been going to Old Navy for the baby/kids clothes, but I might need to check out the women’s clothing.

ten years ago I never thought I’d say this but damn, Old Navy is so much more interesting than The Gap!
and it looks like that sequin dress is available online already…!

That sparkle cardigan looks promising. I like the sequined tanks from the pictures too, but I think I need to see them in person first.

thanks for the tips guys, i’ve updated the post with some items that is now available.
as for the “prada” shoes, that’s what i was thinking yesterday. it would be funny if they styled their clothes with prada shoes but even more funny if they are replicas haha. we’ll just have to wait and see.

my list is the color block dress, 1/2 sleeve khaki trench, and the black sequined dress, and the entire shiny dress/cardigan outfit. old navy is really stepping it up!

surprisingly enough, i think i will be doing some damage at old navy this summer. i want that khaki trench coat, gold sequin tank top and the sequin bubble dress!!!!!!

I like the black sequin dress and the tank dress with the ruffle hem… not to mention the pencil skirt!
But seriously though. It seems like this collection is going to be a hit… however some of the shapes may be to “experimental” for those… between the coasts (respect, ya’ll). Hopefully it does well. I wonder how much it costs R&D, advertising, model-booking, designers, photography, everything, just to put out this one new line. Phew.

I dunno but I think all of this looks rather dated, like really last season. The bubble dress, the sequined dress? It’s all been in stored already last fall. Especially as this collection is not even out yet. But I guess it’s a step in the right direction for Old Navy.

I love the sweater and those gold and black shoes are fabulous (even tho I never wear heels!). I also like the gray pleated dress and the double buckle black belt!

The men’s pieces aren’t really doing anything for me, but the women’s are incredible–especially coming from Old Navy. Very impressive.
