The Botkier for Target collection has quietly launched at Target.com (thanks for the tip Lindsey), the official launch date was said to be July 20th. All the bags are now available for purchase retailing from $19.99 to $49.99, lots of metallics and Botkier’s signature use of hardware- but does that translate well into a Target collection? Anyone get the bags yet? I’m kinda skeptical in buying Target designer bags after the disappointment of the Gryson collection but this Hobo Bag (shown) is quite cute, especially the vintage metallic silver look (it’s made of PVC plastic). What do you guys think? 3 Responses to “Botkier for Target – Available Now”![]() COMMENTS PAGE:![]() |

my target put them out early, about 2 weeks ago. in my opinion all of the metallic ones look cheap, but the magenta and black two look nice… the faux python looks cheap as well.
I used to work for Botkier so I was sorta suprised they were doing a Target collection…Most of the accessory collections haven’t really translated…like you said the Gryson collection being an example.
Wasn’t terribly suprised to see this on target.com under customer reviews…”The quality of this product is terrible. I purchased it this weekend, used it once, and had to return it immediately. The strap began to fall apart and the color began to rub off after just one use. Save your money, it is not worth it.”
I know this may sound bitchy/snobby, but the sheer fact it’s PVC turns me right off. I mean of course for that price they can’t do it in leather (well, if they wanted they could but clearly they don’t), but agh… it looks like those horrible asian like bags, that are made out of that material pretending to be suede and then is covered in metallic spray paint that rubs off and smells like oil.
I know it’s a cash grab/brand expanding exercise for these labels, but for prospective new customers to the mainline collection, I think it may put them off even buying that.
