According to WWD Erin Wasson has inked a 3 year deal to design for a the surf and skate inspired clothing company RVCA dubbed Erin Wasson for RVCA- which has already been snapped up by Opening Ceremony. Wasson has featured in campaigns from Balenciaga to H&M but is “best known for her collaboration with Alexander Wang, whose last two shows she styled and for whom she has served as a sort of in-house muse”. The RVCA line is straying away from girlie colors, instead the line is basically blacks, greys and whites. “A flowered shift is the only piece that could be considered truly feminine, the tanks, which retail for $55, are cut low, and the frayed denim shorts, $230, skim the upper thigh”. The looks are cute, I’ll def check this collection out when it releases! What’s your thoughts? More pics after the jump…

I don’t get it. Erin Wasson appears to me to be a very dirty, class-less Kate Moss (or her aesthetic, at least). Why people would aspire to dress like her, I don’t get it. Like the image of the pants up there. Really? Is that a WHITE SHOELACE instead of a zipper? Ick. If I wanted to look “street” or “edgy” I would just buy Alexander Wang or pieces from Kova & T or even American Apparel. So as you can see, I’m skeptical.

i don’t care for erin wasson at all or anything erin wasson related. i’ve actually interacted with her during fashion week, and she’s not even remotely nice. boo. also with the bliss lau controversy, i feel for bliss. when i saw alex wang’s winter collection using erin’s “original” designs i immediately thought of bliss lau’s designs. and now a few pieces look like alexander wang pieces. ugh. sorry no originality at all. i don’t want to throw any money or support her way.

yeah i have to agree on the jewlery line. bliss lau came up with body jewelry way before she did and wasson’s look pretty alike to me! i love a. wang…

The other model’s name, the one in most of the photos, is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
