On Monday you’ve got a first look at the COMME des GARCONS for H&M collaboration via W’s September issue. Now Fashionista has more images leaked on the web. The collection consists of both women’s and men’s and is clearly very Japanese and stays true to Rei Kawakubo’s avant-garde style. Come November, I’m sure all Rei Kawakubo/COMME des GARCONS fans will invade H&M. Japan is lucky to get the collection before the rest of the world to commemorate the opening of H&M Japan. I’m hoping I will be able get a piece or two- lots of polka dots, the black lolita goth dress is quite interesting, the details are amazing and jackets are all great. They even made the female models look like Rei Kawakubo, how cute- I love it! What are your thoughts? Is it for your or is it too avant-garde?

I like those crazy shorts.
Posted By: Tiffany | August 15th, 2008 at 4:21 pmThe mens is so stupid- it just looks like average H&M. The womens actually looks like CDG though.
Posted By: Felicia | August 15th, 2008 at 9:43 pmAs someone who remembers CDG’s deconstructed glory days in the 1980s, I can’t wait!
Posted By: greenfairie | August 15th, 2008 at 11:24 pmIts just so sad that my country doesnt have H&M
Posted By: Filipino Maid | August 16th, 2008 at 1:45 amComme Des Garcons IS THE BEST!

I just moved to San Francisco, so I’ve got a nice, big h&m here to stalk.

Posted By: joseph | August 16th, 2008 at 8:40 pmi shall await pics of full collection
& did 1 button fall off from the blue coat in first pic? or was it a deliberate style?!
Posted By: joseph | August 16th, 2008 at 8:41 pmnever know from CDG
This looks great! I don’t know how wearable these are in real life but I like the look anyway. The winter jackets are the best I think.
Posted By: Anna-Maria | August 17th, 2008 at 4:39 amthey all look great!! i wanna have them all!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted By: Chu | August 17th, 2008 at 11:06 am………I’m buying every pieces. The less wearable the better!
Posted By: Johnny | August 17th, 2008 at 3:43 pmto avant guard…? if you like high fashion you should not even know the term avant guard…. i am looking forward for the release of this line super hard!
Posted By: jshaw | August 18th, 2008 at 12:38 am“im a lil lad that likes berries and creammmm”
Posted By: Linda | August 18th, 2008 at 2:35 am[ish] =/ lol
Not exactly ground breaking is it? I wonder what kind of limitations these collaborators have to work within to produce their vision? Do they work within a budget, obviously H&M picks up the tab for manufacturing. Does anybody know? Answer me, now.
Posted By: Hopposheesho | August 18th, 2008 at 8:28 pmsorry but,
Posted By: anna | August 23rd, 2008 at 11:36 pmthe whole stuff looks ridiculous…
and nobody with self-respect can wears this…
wow, i really love the a lot of the coats in the collection, but the pants are a bit…
Posted By: konicali | August 25th, 2008 at 9:19 pmi dunno if the shirts will look as good as in the pictures in real life though.
h&m updated their site again with a jean preview!
Posted By: Jerr | August 28th, 2008 at 4:10 pmUnfortunately the men’s line does not live up to the women’s line. It’s very H&M — basic. The collaboration that I felt really brought it for the men by creating wearable pieces but kept true to the designer’s aesthetic was Viktor&Rolf
Posted By: Izzy | September 5th, 2008 at 11:39 amIEWL it’s ehmm ugly..:$
Posted By: Carla | October 7th, 2008 at 5:29 amThis collection is launching November 13 on selected H&M and I am glad we have one here in SF. The Collection looks great! I will definitely be the first in line and buy as much as I can with this collection. I know this collection is worth 6K to 25K, so thanks to H&M for the collaboration and I have a chance to own this great collection with a much more reasonable price …just like Cavalli.
Posted By: wolf | November 1st, 2008 at 2:04 amI really think that the lady’s line is quite interesting, Defenetely a must have for those who dare and can pull it off! , as for the mes collection is boring and quite simple!, i dont think i like any of the pieces:( it looks gap to me, nothing new. thats why i love you hedi slimane!
Posted By: chris | November 11th, 2008 at 3:30 amBecause that 2 button suit (with the polka dot shirt) looks nothing like Band of Outsiders from last season.
Posted By: 17 | November 12th, 2008 at 11:06 ammaybe im really poor because this is not affordable for me.
