I’ve been a fan of Mike & Chris for quite sometime now, I’m so glad they’re branching out to a shoe line for Spring 2009. According to The Pipeline Mike & Chris designers says, “The shoe collection was a natural progression for us being that we have worked with leather quite a bit,” says one-half Mike Gonzalez. We’ve incorporated details found on some of our clothing such as our signature buttons, slight distressing on the leathers, aged hardware, and stitching details.” The shoe collection ranges from “woven platform heels to gladiator-style sandal-boots, was to create a footwear line that extended the label’s founding laid-back chic ethos”, prices start at $135 and will be available at Shopbop.com.
