While sitting at the Lacoste Spring 2009 RTW Runway Show at Bryant Park Tents this past Saturday, I received a text message from my friend Eva telling me that her friend just got a free YSL Tote at Delancey and Christie Street (odd location). I got a bit excited, then another text came through and she told me that she called my mom to go get it for me since she was a few blocks away- my mom ended up getting me both (white and black). I was really happy, I didn’t think I would be able to get it since I knew I’ll be at the Tents and didn’t know the locations- I wasn’t going to hunt it down. After the show, I met up with Eva for lunch and she showed me the bags- super thin but cute! Big thanks to Eva, Jenny and my mommy of course! Did you get yours? If yes where?

damn, no wonder i saw this old chinese lady carrying newspaper with it the other day
omg! i was all over the craziness with these bags! it popped up on fashion blogs everywhere. my frnds and i stalked the city for these! I had word that they passed it out on Christie and Delancey too but by the time I got there, i didnt see them anymore! =(((( Then I went to the soho location to stake them out and by that time (it was about 1pm) they were only handing out the manifesto, no more totes!
Then my frnd who was stalking uptown called me to go to the YSL store on Madison and 71st because it was rumored to have bags at 2pm. So I jetted over there but it was a mission unaccomplished because they only had a handful left (i think only 10 ppl got totes?). Well, 2 of my friends got totes from Bryant Park, where you were stationed at! However I don’t know what time they were giving it away. They started as early as 9am but blogs were telling everyone they would start at 11am. =( SIGH!
Oh well, it definitely does NOT replace the Anya Hindmarch “I’m not a Plastic Bag” tote of which I have 9 of! =)
Was at Union Sq, but those girls gave their totes out at Astor Place. I wanted to see the tents anyway, so I went up there and around 11.30-ish the girls were there. Got 2 (white and black) from Bryant Park. And I agree, much thinner than I thought they were going to be. They carry a decent amount of stuff though.

I too tracked all over the city trying to score a tote. Ended up in line at the Madison Ave store, and yea only like 10 people (of maybe 200 waiting) got them because people were taking TWO or more. Not cool, you guys.
I got 4 on west broadway and west houston. ny post leaked all the locations and i staked up west broadway at like 9am. there weren’t too many people lined up for it, so it was easy to get as many as you wanted. i wish they were made of better material
