Just got home a few hours ago from the Vivienne Tam After Show Party at her Soho store- more on that later. Went to the Vivienne Tam Spring 2009 RTW Runway Show (September 9th) at the Bryant Park Promenade and the line to check-in was crazy long. After getting checked in, I went to find my seat- sat in the third row this time so please mind the heads in the pictures (haha). The collection consists of lots of prints, floral, purple, red, silk chiffon, girly dresses and suits- everything is very pretty and wearable! I find this collection very feminine and delicate, all the dresses were amazing (loving the purpled gathered dress above)! Can’t wait to see the professional photography tomorrow! great pics- I have to ask though, how do you get invited to so many shows!!? is it just that you’re so good at this and have been in the business for so long that people contact you via the blog? or you have really good contacts/ friends? I would kill to be at the tents!!

Anyone can go to the shows – you just walk into the tent and wait for standing room. Getting a seat you either need to contact the designer’s PR firm or jump into one at the last second. I’ve been to ohhh about 10 shows now since this Fashion Week began. I only had a ticket for one.
