Diane von Furstenberg for Barack Obama- she expressed her political following towards presidential candidate Barack Obama by designing an Obama ‘08 Love Tote Bag. The tote bag features the words Obama 08, hope, change and red hearts in handwriting script and signed on the bottom by Diane von Furstenburg. The tote bag retail at $75 and is available on Barack Obama’s official online store. Cute tote!
There will also be more designers designing products in support of Obama- according to Sassybella, “Derek Lam, Isaac Mizrahi (who has also designed a tote), Russell Simmons and Tracy Reese’s designs are set to be hitting the Barack Obama online store in the next few weeks”. Yeah there’s a lot of other designers that made something, it’s all under the “Runway To Change” link. Nothing really fancy, but all for a good cause. The Rachel Roy scarf is a hot piece.
i went to the launch part for the clothes hosted by sarah jessica parker and anna wintour — some pretty cute pieces. i picked up the alexander wang “change” top, the marc jacobs tote and the lutz & patmos cardigan. nice to have a fashionable way to express my politics! : )
