Topshop / Topman While we all made a mental note that Topshop SoHo will be delayed till November, WWD has once again spilled the bad news that the store will “postponed its entrance into the U.S. market until March because of construction delays at the store”. Some may think the delay is due to economy but Sir Philip Green ensures that its not the case, he says, “This is totally to do with the complexity of this project. It’s basically a rebuild of an entire building and we want to make sure we do it right.” In the meantime we still have the option of shopping on Topshop’s US site and the retailer is in talks with Opening Ceremony about continuing to carry some Topshop products. Also in the next few months the retailer will show its spring collection to the fashion press in New York with many other ideas in the planning. Hopefully I’ll get a sneak peek at the spring collection!
