I stashed away all my bright nail polishes and started using dark colors for fall. Last week I put on the Rebel Yell Nail Polish ($16) from NARS’ fall 2008 collection. This polish is a rich dusty pomegranate color perfect for fall, it also compliments my skin very well. The polish itself is a new and improved longwearing formula that is more durable and chip-resistant finish with UV protection to prevent polish discoloration. I still have the polish on and it hasn’t chipped yet and is still quite shiny, been five days now. It was really smooth to put on and applies very evenly- no streaks. I’ve also gotten quite a few compliments about the color and it goes great with most of my outfits too.
I have to admit I started becoming a nail polish fanatic this summer, I have a habit of changing my nail color about every two to three weeks depending on how the polish holds and I have come to a conclusion that what you pay for is what you get. I used to buy a lot of cheap nail polish in the drugstores and they tend to need more layers to achieve the ideal color and chip very fast. I’m not saying all drugstore nail polishes are bad, there are O.P.I. and Essie polishes that are good and they’re on the more expensive side compared to others. With the more expensive nail polish, I get the color on with less layers and the polish stays on longer without cracking. I rather spend a lil more than having to repaint my nails every few days.

when i first looked at the bottle, my thought was it’s like canned tomato sauce, but it looks good on your nails!!love it.

too bad nail polish fumes eat your brain and drops your IQ, with my preference for drinking to do that, I am staying away from nail polish
