The collection reflects her own personal eclectic style, featuring bomber jackets, leggings and bodysuits, the debut collection screams loud and clear with bright bold hues and graphic prints. M.I.A. prefers to keep the brand underground, hoping to produce a rich and avant-garde aesthetic that allows her biggest fans to emulate her signature style. Therefore naturally, hints of her up-and-coming brand reached her devotees by way of a head-spinning video entitled “Real Pirates of the Caribbean”. The video features a young, florescent blonde-haired boy, Okley Leslie, who models and flaunts pieces from the collection that can be found on the singer’s website and Karmaloop.com.
