Vogue UK reports that Pantone, the global authority on color, has named PANTONE 14-0848, Mimosa, as the color of the year for 2009.

“The colour yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance,” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, tells MARKETWATCH.COM. “Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation.”

How do you guys feel about yellow? I think its a happy and fun color, definitely something to brighten up our minds from the poor economy! Time to dig up my yellow pumps!

Ditto, yellow automatically makes me feel cheery! I like to play around with bold color, and yellow is my go-to color; it looks great when paired with neutral colors.
