For all of you guys that have been following my blog you guys should know by now that I love nail polish, I change my color every two weeks (just about). Last time I mentioned that I tend to opt for the more expensive brands not because of the name but more for the longevity of the polish. I’ve been wanting to try MAC’s nail lacquer for awhile already, finally a couple weeks back, I painted my nails with MAC’s Dark Angel Nail Lacquer a “Goth romantic dark lilac” cream color since purple is big this season. The polish is very smooth, the brush is a great shape and it was easy to apply but the lacquer goes on very thin, which means more layers to achieve the opaque dark color I’m aiming for. I put on four layers of polish to get full coverage and the color you see in the picture but after it dried the color was rich and very glossy with no-streak (that’s one of the reasons you buy the more expensive brands) plus conditioners and UV protection for your nails. The color is really nice and the best thing is that it doesn’t chip that easily, it held up for over a week. I LUV That Color! I’m loving the fact that although its dark you can definitely see the purple and its flirty
i have that polish and it is a great color! im a huge nail polish fanatic. Change it every one to two weeks. And at first i was like you, I thought the “expensive” brands had the most longevity. to my surprise COMPLETELY untrue. I usually wear OPI and China Glaze both available for $3 a bottle on a beauty website i frequently buy from. The consistency of both polish grands is great and i get amazing longevity. from time to time i use Essie since they sell great Red hues. If you use the right base coat and top coat and care for nails and cuticles on a regular basis you can achieve great long wear from almost ANY polish brand! I’m at work on my computer typing away at least 9.5hrs a day and home the rest of the time cooking and cleaning for my family so if my $3 polish can last on me it can last on anyone!
@michelle lou: yah i agree, if u read my previous post (linked on “Last time”) u would see i mentioned the good pharmacy brands O.P.I. and Essie too
. And u’re lucky they cost $3 for u, in NYC they cost me $8 or so for a bottle. I’m really talking about the REALLY CHEAP ones!

actually i live in the NYC so i know how expensive they are. the website i order from is http://www.head2toebeauty.com i no longer buy my polish at stores. I just order a bunch at a time online. even with S&H it comes out cheaper than getting it at a store

I’ve been looking for a fabulous dark purple for awhile, might have to make time to check it out [I'm not really a mac person] but I have to disagree with the expensive vs cheap stuff. My Chanel lasts less than my 1 dollar wet n wild.
