I’ve been looking everywhere for grey nail polish, my initial attempt was to find the China Glaze version but after going to several Ricky’s and leaving empty handed I gave up. A couple of weeks back I went to Urban Outfitters and found this L.A. Girl Flare nail polish, not sure what the name of the polish is called but its grey. The polish was cheap, $5, it was super hard to put on- really thick and sticky. But the color came out pretty decent, I put on two coats. The next day the polish already chipped ;( ! I need to find an alternative, anyone have suggestions and where to get a nice grey?

try OPI Brand New Skates. It’s awesome and I wore it for over a week before I chipped it. Its part of the Holiday collection.

What about Revlon -Dark Pleasures in Steel-Etto or Wet N Wild in Sparked

ive been dying for a gray and no luck here either- i did buy a pale yellow in that la flare brand from UO in the summer, and it sucked too. very thick, easily chipped…i wouldn’t give the brand a second chance, but some of the colors were cute, too bad.

Looks like you’re a victim too. The Budget Babe posted last week that she bought the same nail polish at UO for $5 then saw it at Forever 21 for $2.80

I got an L.A. Girl nail polish from Forever 21 for 3 dollars and it was really nice to put on..hmmm. But try Sephora, they have OPI Shades exclusively for them, one is called Shades of Gray.

Sephora by OPI Metro Chic, China Glaze Recycle (try a Sally Beauty Supply), Lippmann Collection Hit Me With Your Best Shot (try a Nordstrom’s, B&BW flagship store), Essie Over the Top, Sparitual Mood, Rescue Beauty Lounge Stormy, Carolyn New York Hangin’ on the Stoop

umm…i just mix my own black and white together to make a nice shade of grey. i stick to the cheapie nyc brand (1$ love it). because it’s usually pretty watery..and easy to mix & control the colour.

I actually wear Milani Nail Lacquer (which can be found at any cvs). One day I noticed that my white nail polish was half empty and i put a little bit of black nail polish in it until it came out to a gray that I loved

The OPI brand new skates is the truth!!! you might have to go to ULTA or a beauty supply store to find it though.. good luck!

Hey! It’s Jayne over at Twelve Bar. I highly recommend You Don’t Know Jacques from the OPI french line. It’s the best grey and lasts pretty long.

I JUST BOUGHT THE SAME ONE FROM URBAN!!! And this shit chipped horribly!!! Im going to sephora to get OPI gray. Same color, but hopefully lasts a bit longer! Love the color though

Try head2toebeauty.com. They have tons of brand name polish for cheap (Essie, OPI, China Glaze, and Misa for half off) and they def have gray. I bought some gray China Glaze recently.

The LA Flare brand is really bad! My cousin used it and it chips so easily and peels off too. :\

essie has some cool nailpolish although they dnt carry gray but they have silver but it’s still awesome
January 9th, 2009 at 3:34 pm
Essie has a nice shimmery grey color called “Over The Top”. I love it! Use two coats..the first one is light, but it looks great after the second coat.

Cannot find the gray nail polish. Can you tell me where to purchase? Thanks

i’ve been using flare since i discovered it in forever21. i only have three colors but i haven’t had the chipping problem since i started using a base and top coat. try that! the grey color looks really good on you. i’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for it.

Ooh the color is really pretty. I have a bottle of LA Girl Flare polish that I bought from Forever 21 for 2.80 and it didn’t chip on me for a good 4 or 5 days when I used Sally Hansen Dries Instantly top coat. If a good top coat doesn’t work for you, maybe you could order China Glaze Recycle from http://www.victoriasnailsupply.com/ecollection.html ? Or get a good black and white polish and mix your own? Haha good luck!
