GAP is keeping to their heritage for spring/summer ‘09 with trench coats, denim and most importantly khaki. Patrick Robinson says, for spring GAP is all about optimism, bringing on bright colors, stripes, layering with colors and khakis is big this season- different proportions, pant leg and using materials. The spring/summer ‘09 campaign featuring models Suvi, Shannon, Anja, Sasha Pivovarova, Jessica Stam, Sessilee, Abby Lee, Editha, Du Juan and others. I like these looks and I would wear some of these looks in the spring.
Gap’s sizes are still all over the place & I absolutely hate their jeans, but they are good for basics like trenches & button-ups
The ads and styling look very good. The problem is the actual clothes in the stores and they way they present them are so different.
^I second that for their website. They’ll have a page of models wearing the clothes, stylized and everything, and then when you click on the items individually, they are presented in isolation, without a full body shot (so the pants will show just the legs, shirts just upper body, and so on). And in the latter case, the clothes look awful. Dowdy. Shouldn’t a marketing person be able to notice this disparity in the presentation of clothes? I want Gap to reign again–bring back the 90’s!

what’s going on with the over-the-top wide leg khakis in that first photo? there’s wide leg and then there’s 4 sizes too big leg. c’mon gap, stick to what you’re good at. basics basics basics.

I’ve been searching all over for the lower heeled ankle boots too. Does anyone have any info on who makes them or has anyone seen a similar style. I’m at a dead end.
The ankle desert healed boots that Suvi and Shannon are wearing, Gap made last fall. It was part of the collaboration they did with Pierre Hardy. Oh, and the wedges that Anja and Jessica Stam are wearing, those were part of that collection too. Theyre doing again. Pierre Hardy and Gap just came out with the same style but like in 3 different colors. You guys just need to check out their website, trust me its on their.
I been looking for them too!! they’re definitely not on the site at this moment…perhaps they’re discontinued because they were part of the Fall-Winter collection. But then they’refeatured in the Spring campaign…?? I’ve asked several Gap employees for answers and some told me that Clarks made them and to check Piperlime..nothing!! another one told me that Banana Republic carried them, but they don’t. Please help if you know where to find them!! gaaaaaaahh I want them so much!!
