Back in November we posted the news about Barbie entering the fashion world at age 50 and Mattel plans a runway show in February, as part of fashion week in New York, with 50 as-yet-undisclosed designers who will produce life-size outfits inspired by Barbie. Wait no more, today, the brand released the official line-up of celebrated designers who will showcase one-of-a-kind, adult-size creations at Barbie’s first-ever runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York on February 14th. The epic fashion event will celebrate the past, present and future of fashion, with Barbie doll as the muse. The show is part of a year-long, global celebration of Barbie’s 50th anniversary that includes pink carpet events, marquee partnerships, retail celebrations, must-have products and numerous tributes in design, fashion and more. And we can’t forget that Christian Louboutin will be designing pumps in iconic Barbie Pantone 219 Pink for Barbie! Wow I can’t wait to see the outfits! Check out the complete list of designers after the jump…
