The last show on my agenda for New York Fashion Week Fall 2009 was the Custo Barcelona fashion show at the Promenade at Bryant Park last Thursday. The runway show featuring women’s and men’s fall 2009 collection, designer Custo Dalmau’s collection was inspired by an ethnic-psychedelic inspiration that was bold, loud and eclectic with striking contrasts, rich pigments and patterns. Drawing on the vibrant graphics and intricate embroidery of cultures across the globe, the range also featured handcrafted details in a variety of fabrics, colors and prints that created strongly textured, contrasted pieces. I loved the mixing and matching, to my surprise there were a bunch of sequin leggings in this collection. My view from the front row allowed med to view head to toe, the shoes and legwear were fabulous too! More pics after the jump…
