Looks like Forever 21 is seeking inspiration from one of nitro:licious’ favorites Alexander Wang! Forever 21 seems to have caught on with Wang’s Spring/Summer ‘09 Alexis Fringe Boot as it “inspired” their version of the Fringe Open Toe Boots. These open toe faux leather platform fringe boots are 5″ high with a 1″ platform, not quite as high as Wang’s but close enough. And of course costs a fraction of the price of Wang’s boot. For $34.90 you simply can’t resist can you? I’m all for Alexander Wang but these are quite tempting, are you moved in anyway? Forever 21 never fails to amaze me. Thanks to reader Trinity for the tip! More pics after the jump…

I have to say that the Forever 21 version is better (I know I know..) because the platform height is more suitable for everyday living people not runway models and the shape of the heel looks sexier and prettier. Sorry Alexander Wang. I still love you!

I’m still not sold on F21 shoes. I bought a pair and the heel promptly broke in the first 10 minutes I wore them. I’m not expecting Louboutin quality, but they shouldn’t be that crappy. What is everybody’s experience with their shoes?

Look how awful the F21 boot is! The fringe is curling up at the ends. And they for sure look like they cost $35. Fail.

they are crap. i bort them the other day. and as soon as i tried them on the heel starts to bend inwards (not stable at all) and theres a little toe divider between your big toe and next that isnt showed in the pictures. NOT happy at all unfortunatly.

I bought two pairs and the heels on both pairs broke on me. They’re at the cobblers getting fixed as we speak hah. They look great and are pretty comfortable, but very, very poorly made.
