The first biopic about the legendary French fashion designer, Coco Avant Chanel movie trailer starring, Audrey Tautou, has finally released. Although the trailer is in French, we know it focuses on Chanel’s childhood and early womanhood. It is about her before she became famous, it is about the events and people that shaped her. The film premieres in France on April 22nd and a US release date is still to be decided. via FabSugar Are you anticipating this film as much as we are?

I already saw a Coco Chanel movie similar to this. The actors look similar too. Havent you guys seen the biography movie before?

Yes, I saw the Lifetime movie and it was pretty awful–just like one would imagine a cable tv movie would be. I love audrey tatou. I’m sure she will do an excellent job.

Didn’t Lifetime do a movie with Shirley MacLaine? And wasn’t Audrey Tautou in it too? So she did 2 movies as Coco Chanel?

Nevermind! It was Barbora Bobulova that played the young Coco Chanel! I loved this movie because it tells the love stores that she went through in molded her into the woman that she became.
