Back in December rumors were spreading that Mike & Chris was closing, they redeemed themselves when they signed a licensing agreement with Green Mochi LLC. But looks like that didn’t help much, it’s sad to announce that Mike & Chris is really going out of business this time. But good news is that they’re hosting a going out of business sale, too bad it’s not in NYC! Go and rack up, its the last of it! via Daily Candy

UPDATE 03.26.2009: According to Racked LA, Mike & Chris is NOT closing its doors. This ish is driving me nuts, closing, not closing, closing, I’m over it!
In a statement provided by the brand, Armen Gregorian, CEO of Mike & Chris’s current licensee Green Mochi, calls the rumors “categorically false.” He adds, “This confusion may have been caused by Mike & Chris’s prior manufacturer, M&C Apparel’s, demise, which resulted in their factor FTC’s liquidation of M&C’s inventory.” In other words, since M&C Apparel filed for bankruptcy last month, they have to get rid of all their back stock. But, thanks to a licensing agreement with Green Mochi, Mike&Chris’ collections for Summer ’09 and onward are reportedly going ahead as planned.
