This morning when I got up for work, all I could think of was when the clock will hit 12pm so I can shop the Christian Louboutin sale on GILT.com. Now that the sale has happened (some styles are still available) I’m a bit relieved, I copped a few pairs but a few of the styles I wanted were sold out by the time I got to it. I was quite surprised that there were so many of the pointy toe styles in low heels, I guess the really hot styles doesn’t need to go on sale to sell (shrug). I know these are just shoes but when the clock striked 12pm my heart was pounding and of course I wasn’t fast enough to snatch up the pairs I wanted in my size. Surprisingly the site didn’t crash on me as I expected but it did take a while to try to add things to the cart, it just get on reloading and checkout was nerve wrecking. I finally gave up and checked out with the SALOPINA PEEPTOE, SIGOURNEY NAPPA BOOTIE and DIANE BOOT, the shoes weren’t as cheap as I wanted it to be but it is what it is. Since Louboutins are infamous for sizing issues, hopefully at least one pair will fit me. Will update you guys when I get them in my hands! Now its your turn to tell me your experience and what you bought from the sale! More pics after the jump…

I bought nothing. You can find better prices at a Neiman’s or Sak’s sale. How disappointing.
Kinda disapointed at the selction, i know most of these shoes are “classic” and will never really go out of fashion, but they just dont do it for me.
On the hand I’ve been seeing this add for Loubiton Box http://www.louboutinbox.com/index.php everywhere, all the shoes are from $140-$200, did a bit of googling couldnt find much about it though, except 4rrm someone who said that the reason they’re so cheap is becuase they’re last seaon.
Has anyone tried them before?
They have a really good selction, but it looks to good 2 be true
@kk: i’ve already blocked louboutinbox.com off my google adsense ad server, i believe those are fake shoes but don’t quote me on it. i wouldn’t buy off that site, lols!
The little booties got down to like 3something @ barneys months ago. A lot of these prices are more than some stores sale prices. Glad you got the hot pink ones though, those kind of came back again for the s|s 09 season.
I completely forgot when I was eating lunch at my desk its 12:30pm when I try to log in at 12:45 will not let me in! When I finally got to the website, all the louboutins are sold out!
Lucky! Unfortunately, no matter how fast I tried to add to my cart, I couldn’t even get ONE PAIR! I am so upset! All I wanted was the black Delcoltissimo Pump in patent OR leather- nice simple black pump. Like you, my heart was racing at 11:57… haha. But I am left emptyhanded — so upset. =(
These shoes didn’t do it for me. Too plain. Too short. I would rather save three hundred on these sale loubs and spend six or seven and get some crazy, killer, cannot live without them, to die for shoes. I’ve seen some loubs on sale at at Barneys for about five that are much cuter than the ones on sale today. Pass for me.
I tried to add the Decoltissimo patent pump to my cart, and I hit the site RIGHT at 9. It took forever to load, and when it did it said it was in someone else’s cart. I wasn’t super crazy about them, but I thought they were classic and I’d wear them a lot. So I’m not really that disappointed that I didn’t get them. I wasn’t expecting anything like Pigalles or Decollettes on here (my favorites), so I wasn’t too surprised that the selection wasn’t that great.
I have some CLs that I got for great prices at barneys and saks on sale. Some I did not because they are classics. But this sale was not that great. CL shoes are up some, down some, and just right some. Hard to buy online.
I didnt know sizing was so crazy until AFTER I bought a pair for a GF. GILT said sizing was half a size small, but thats not the case for all the shoes! The Decoltissimos are actually true to size up to a 1.5 sizes BIGGER. With that said, do you guys think people with return them and I can get the right size?
BTW, whats the official name of the shoe listed as draped satin pump?

I too was at work around 12 but my friend called me and told me the selection wasn’t all of that. I got home at 6 and I was relieved, the shoes were all boring in my opinion, so I dont feel like I missed out. Congratz on your buys! lucky lucky!. I know the feeling when your trying to check out, it feels like your fighting a war!

I emailed the website louboutin box asking about the authenticity and this is what they emailed back-
“Hi,
Thank you for visiting our website,
The quality of the product you will receive is guaranteed to be the best in its class, they are a part of factory outlet production and this is why they are sold for less. All shoes comes in original boxes like shown in pictures. All are Brand New dead stock condition. Our shoes look 93% excatly like real louboutin shoes but they are .7% different becuase of copy right issues.”
So assuming that means they are fakes.
Grrrr…Did you get the Salopina in champagne? Perhaps in a 38.5 or 39??? I tried to buy but the wait list never came through for me. After you wear them a few times, would love to buy them from you if that’s one of your purchases. They’d be a great accessory at my November wedding!

I’ve been trying to make a post about the fake CL sites, but keep getting the “duplicate” message error. I’ll try again…
For those of you asking about louboutinbox.com, fitchristianlouboutin.com and other “cheap” Louboutin sites, they are indeed fakes and get pulled as Louboutin HQ finds them. There’s a post up on my blog about the fakes. The worst thing is that you’ll pay the same for fakes as you do on sale at one of the department stores which are authorized sellers. Do NOT buy from these sites, as not only will you be supporting the fakes industry with is dicey at best, but you will also more than likely be out your money as many just take the money and run. Not to mention you’ve then given your credit card information to an unethical business and opened yourself up to identity theft!
I didn’t get anything at the Gilt sale, I was there right when it opened, but wasn’t thrilled with the selection as most were the same price or more than on sale at Barney’s, Saks, or Neiman’s. Too bad, I was excited, but I guess I saved money, right?

Gilt is a great website and Zappos is okay too. I just wish Gilt had a steady catalogue instead of sales. =/
