Looks like the highly anticipated VOGUE US May 2009 cover featuring models is out. Models Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova and Anna Jagodzinska made the cover and the pull out features models Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini and Natasha Poly. I’m a bit sad that no Asian model was included, what do you think of the cover?
Bigger pics after the jump…

it’s nice they stopped using celebrities on the cover! but i think too many chefs spoilt the soup
natalia looked great
i completly agree about the asian model comment! especially cus there are so many ones that are popular on the runway! hye park, han jin, du juan, and etc!
american vogue is so outdated, i don’t know anyone that reads it!
the exclusion of asian models is racist.
there are so many great asian models on the scene like hyoni kang, etc..that would have been great on the cover.
i feel ya with the asian model comment. I’m black so im suprise we even got two! sad that I am but its true haha. But the cover is sooo boring no variety! I know the picture needs to flow but many of the models look the same, have the same hairstyle and in general its soo bah- humbug! At least last time we got full bodied but this right here….this right here
always prefer the models’ photo shooting than actress, as I think the former gives indifferent taste which catching your eyes, and your heart. especially love Natalia Vodianova, the Russian model, which captured me several years ago by the Ck ad. you just can’t resist her sexy figure combination with children like expression in the eyes.
you should be more than sad wendy! as a black woman when I don’t see representaionI’m outraged as you should be! I’m glad they placed Jourdan. She’s amazing but America is diverse as should be our Vogue. Your prominent in the fashion scene and it should feel like a slap in the face that Vogue couldn’t place not even ONE Asian model on the cover. I know there are great one out there too like Hye park, she’s all over style.com so why couldn’t vogue place her? If I were you I would make a big deal out of it. You’ve got the pull, and tons of readers who would support you.
ugh american vogue is so boring. just like this cover. they all look the same.
&besides, having so many similar looking white models smushed in together undermines their individual beauty that we all adore them for. this cover totally RUINS it. ugh idk why i’m still subscribed to them..
oo yes I agree with renaye!
i wish they included an Asian model and it was a more diverse group… i stop reading US vouge along time ago I read the french one more
I’m Chinese. I would really like an Asian on the cover…or at least featured in the magazine. I’ve been subscribing to Vogue for a few years now, and have can’t recall seeing one in it except for in the campaign ads that Hye, Du, and others have been so lucky to nab.
I feel like Vogue is really conservative when it comes to covers, especially when models are in it. They could at least do a better one that’s more artistically and visually appealing…It is visually appealing, especially with the models on it. But oh, wait! Americans probably won’t like anything beyond a brown background, because they won’t get it. The cover’s so drab. If they’re going to try to revive the whole model thing, they could at least make a more exciting cover that could attract others, and thus, bring their sales up.
