Chanel‘s Cruise 2010 runway show just took place at Venice and now the ad campaign has surfaced. The photos were shot by Karl Lagerfeld featuring models Karen Elson and Baptiste Giabiconi in a dark antique hotel room with rich red curtains and bedsheets like his collection which was inspired by the Renaissance. The mood and the atmosphere seems right for the collection.

“Venice has a genuine dark and mysterious side to it that fascinated me. I really like the Italian spirit and the Venetian lifestyle,” said Lagerfeld. “And let’s not forget that Coco Chanel came back to Venice for 10 years.”
