OBEY Clothing is stepping up their game in the expanding world of streetwear, since their Spring 2009 collection I’ve been interested once again. They’ve upgraded with more cut & sew pieces and bloomed into a full line of contemporary clothing and accessories. As we know Shepard Fairey plays a big part in OBEY’s brand, for fall his photographs are printed on t-shirts and the insides of jackets. For Fall, there’s M65 Jackets, Leather Motorcycle Jackets, Vests, Oversized Tops, Blouses, Cardigans, Dresses, Graphic Tees and other cute stuff. The Fall 2009 collection is slated to release in stores and online starting August at shop.obeyclothing.com, Karmaloop.com and 80sPurple.com. More pics after the jump…

DUDE. That black tank is in Urban Outfitters RIGHT FUCKING NOW. Obey women’s fails so hard. I understand appropriation and reinterpretation, but this is ridiculous. Urban seems to have taken the item down from their site, but trust, it’s the same shape with the same beading pattern, but in ivory. They already ripped off Keil Mead’s wonderful ‘Forget Me Knot’ series which came out in 2006 I think, could be earlier.
