Photography: bebe For fall 2009 bebe is bringing you back to the 20th century, the inspiration for bebe founder and CEO, Manny Mashouf comes in many forms. For this fall season’s collection, Manny hit the vintage shops lining the streets of Melrose. Struck by the look and feel of a brocade jacket, popping with color, rich texture and detailed embellishments, he started building on this standout statement piece. Drawing on other early 20th century inspirations, like the series The Tudors, Manny is creating a fashion revival – a blending of the best of the past with a modern day seductive twist. This season, bebe’s fall collection is a blend of world-wide influences – reaching from the far East to the West. Adornment, embroidery, rich fabrics and detailed handcrafting give each piece a special occasion feel. The fall collection should be hitting bebe stores and bebe.com soon, I’m keeping an eye out for the Jenna Strappy Boot (pictured), Transformer Skinny Two Tone Jean (2nd picture) and brocade jackets, they’re HOT! They’ve styled it wonderfully, but I’m sure it will all look real hoochie in real life. Tell me that you can’t see the black top in the third photo popping up in lame clubs nation wide?

love it too – but have to agree with JBot – I’ll bet the live version is of some of these isn’t quite as glamorous. Bebe is always fun though!

grabbed the puff ornate jacket….not what u see on the website. not as shiny…def more couture than usual bebe…..still think bebe is wack…..and the stuck up help (workers) as well……they stepped up…bout time….this fall puff shoulders are def in….
