WWD reports that Christian Louboutin is the latest designer to give Barbie a makeover, with three dolls he’s conceived top to toe due to be released over the coming months. It’s not a surprise since he did already design shoes for the iconic doll’s fall 2009 fashion show. Louboutin found that Barbie’s “ankles were too fat”, so we can expect slimmer ankles and he has even reshaped the dolls’ figures. The new Christian Louboutin Barbie dolls would be released in time for the Cannes International Film Festival, decked out with mini Louboutin boxes for the shoes. I can’t wait to see the makeover, I haven’t bought a Barbie for a longgggg time, but this collab, I might need to get me one!
