Previously you’ve seen the Jean Paul Gaultier for Target Designer Collaborations lookbook but the images weren’t so big, Target finally released images so here they are again. Now you can get a better look at the clothes and I’ve included prices, now you can decide what to get when the collection drops on March 7th at Target!
Jean Paul Gaultier for Target collection pays tribute to the American woman – celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture. By creating a fusion of style – Rock n’ Roll chic, Hollywood glamour, bold Hip-Hop attitude and Punk alternative trends – Gaultier’s collection is a celebration of how American women have revolutionized fashion over the decades. Ranging in price from $17.99 -$199.99, this line of seasonal, affordable must-haves includes high-waisted pants and shorts, mini skirts, strong-shoulder jackets, cropped tanks and swimwear. The affordable collection will launch on Target.com and at select Target stores nationwide on March 7, 2010 and remain available through April 11, 2010.

That eye tank and striped anchor tank are very JPG. I’d buy those.
Agreed on that tattoo stuff..those leggings are horrid! I’ll pass on this and just save my money for Zac Posen!
Does anyone know what time this collection actually goes on sale on the website? Is it at midnight or in the morning? I feel like one of them went on sale at like 5 a.m. or something but I can’t remember now.
This is awful. This looks like some Ed Hardy mess.
Definitely agreeing with the Ed Hardy mess comments BUT I do really like that black strapless dress.
I think some garments are okay, other than that I don’t like it. I am feeling that tan leather jacket but not for the price.
there are a couple of cute pieces i’d like to checkout in person. i love the moto jacket but the price is crazy for target. hoping i can catch it during a sale..
not a fan of tattoo printed clothing. i do really like the green dot print slip dress. hopefully they show a future picture of it that’s not so covered up.
God these are styled so so terribly. And ill fitted models, too. I wonder if the collection feels unappealing because of that or because of the pieces themselves…
wow, everything looks awful. This is the first time I don’t fall in love with a Target collaboration.
gaultier more or less originated tatto print clothing, so taking that into consideration, i will let those items slide however dated they look. in any event- it’s not to my taste, save the once piece swimsuit, which is really interesting. also, a lot of it, just doesnt feel Gaultier to me… where is that edginess, that perfect imperfection? I want the leather but $200? On sale? ha! this will sell out instantly. Im gunning for the t shirts, strapless black dress, anchor shirt, the somewhat un-remarkable but cute pinstripe vest, the yellow halter dress, and maybe the green polka dot dress. If this collection had half the raw intensity of his past two collections on the runway did, i would be drooling… alas… it feels like jean paul tried to hard to do jean paul ‘for target’. sucks… but it will sell out in moments so stay up till midnight kids, and keep hitting the refresh.

DISAPPPOINTING TO THE MAX! It looks like the intern’s intern designed this. No way Gaultier actually took any part in the design. Can’t believe he approved them either. yuck
