For my Twitter and retrogurl.com followers you guys already know that I’ve spotted my hero Karl Lagerfeld shooting Chanel‘s Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign in the LES yesterday! I was bummed when I found out he was shooting there the day before since I wasn’t around but my eyes lit up when I saw him there yesterday. I spotted him after I had lunch and seriously “just died”, so happy! He’s truly amazing and watching him work in person was seriously an experience I would never forget, I mean do I need to say more?! He was shooting Freja Beha Erichsen, Abbey Lee Kershaw and a good looking male model (which I’m not sure who he is but he will be known after this campaign lol) on the fire escape. The models were so cute, they all looked like polar bears and furry animals posin’ on the fire escape…loves it! I shot a short video of Karl coming down from the crane, it looked like the “fashion GOD” landed on Earth lol. Ok, I’m just saying…He’s just AMAZING! Talk about “right place at the right time” – Great timing! Sounds like the perfect day!
What would be more amazing would be if he would be throwing free Chanel Goodies to the people who had turned up to see him…LOL…There would be a stampede and we would have been wounded BUT if would def. be worth it for a free bag/purse and enough compesation for having to see his crinkly butt
Lucky you! Karl Lagerfeld is definitely a Renaissance Man. I’ve always admired his creativity.
It’s funny how some people passing him on the sidewalk have no idea who he is, while others like the girl in the black flats pull out her camera.
