J.C. Penney is seriously trying to catch up with all the designer collaborations out there, according to WWD JCP has inked a long-term deal with Aldo to open shop-in-shops selling Aldo’s emerging Call It Spring brand.

Call It Spring targets 15- to 30-year-old consumers consisting of less expensive and younger line of men’s and women’s shoes and handbags with shoes priced from $29.99 to $69.99, and handbags, $25 to $30. JCP will launch a shop-in-shop featuring 350 to 500 square foot for the brand selling more than 300 styles of footwear and handbags for both men and women. The brand is slated to debut this fall in JCP’s Manhattan store in Herald Square and is scheduled to roll out to 100 JCP stores and jcp.com in the spring, as well as to 500 more stores in fall 2011.

Excited about this, I’m a fan of Aldo shoes so I can’t wait to see the full collection! Here’s a look at the fall 2011 Call It Spring ads. Are you looking forward to this?
