Outfit: Banana Taipei

Outfit: Banana Taipei

Sunday, August 8, 2010 by Wendy Lam

I think I partied a bit too hard this weekend, celebrated my bff Ada’s birthday on Friday and my other good friend Daisy’s birthday on Saturday. Can’t sleep and it’s like 5AM, so decided to do an outfit post.

I’d like to introduce a new bag I received last week from Taiwan called Banana Taipei, an eco-friendly cheeky canvas bag featuring a photo printed Birkin on five sides and the handle. Banana Taipei launched in April 2010 and it has already garnered a lot of fans including local celebrities. The bag is really cute in person and super durable, I use it quite often to shop and go on weekend trips (and I carry a lot of stuff lol). The print quality is pretty nice too and the price is super affordable, USD$49.99 and shipping to the US is US$20. Apparently they can only make 6 bags in an hour because of their detailed quality control and handmade process. There’s a variety of colors to choose from too. Asia always comes out with super cute stuff like this, one day I’ll own a Hermès Birkin bag lol. If you want one, inquire here, there’s already a long waiting list so act fast!
