Last year United Nude partnered with Iris van Herpen on an amazing pair of shoes as part of Herpen’s ‘Synethesia’ collection which reminded everyone of Alexander McQueen’s hoof-like shoes. I’m a fan of those shoes but couldn’t drop $1300 on them. But for the new season, United Nude makes their second collaboration shoes for Iris van Herpen’s Spring/Summer 2011 ‘Crystallization’ collection with two versions of a sculptural high-heeled platform ankle bootie. The first, a complex weave of leather lace detailing; the second, elegantly draped with thin chains. The intricacy and precision of these creations require them to be 100% hand crafted in the most luxurious of leathers. The 100 limited edition pairs will retail at $995 and will be available in black, off white and tan.

The shoes are so amazing, like Herpen’s collection. I’m in love with the leather lacing pair, can’t wait to see it in person when it releases. Do you like?

Love the chain version, but $995 isn't any more affordable to me than $1300 was for the original collection shoes, so will have to admire from afar…
