I got an email this morning introducing me to New York-based handbag label, Thomas IV, designed by Lia Cinquegrano- she currently works full-time job at Nanette Lepore. If you like the mash-up, bold and vibrant quirky handbags (I do) than you might like the handbags from this new label. Thomas IV debuted in Spring 2011 and consists of classic handbag shapes reinterpreted by the use of collaged materials such as hand-woven Guatemalan ikat, and graphic houndstooth mixed with color-blocked sheep suede and lamb leather. A bucket bag retails for $495, and all the bags are made in NYC. The Spring 2011 collection is currently available at Barneys CO-OP and Steven Alan stores as well as boutiques around NYC.
