Before heading home to pack for my LA trip (currently there for a project) on Wednesday night, I stopped by Mondrian Soho for the LeSportsac x COVERGIRL cosmetic bag collection party and of course to see legendary makeup artist, Pat McGrath! The COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor was the inspiration for the collection, cute colors. The weather was beautiful and the penthouse was the perfect place to be, loved the sweet shaved ice stand and pink candy station. I had an amazing time!
“Between shows my team does not have a moment to second-guess where they’ve packed even just a single shade of lipstick. For this year’s LeSportsac collection, I incorporated some of the same techniques for product organization that we use backstage,” says Pat McGrath, Global Creative Design Director for COVERGIRL. “For the 2011 collection with LeSportsac, I was inspired by the shade palette and sleek bullet of COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor; it’s one of my backstage essentials.”
The eight-piece collection will feature never-before seen styles, ranging from the small “Kiss Case,” ($25) that is designed to hold five favorite shades of COVERGIRL LipPerfection, to the “Professional Carry All” tote ($120) that can fit the seven other pieces of the collection for convenient, pro-inspired makeup travel. Each bag will be produced with a “Pat McGrath for LeSportsac” label sewn into the lining and a detachable COVERGIRL hangtag featuring custom beauty looks and application tips from Pat. The collection will be sold at LeSportsac boutiques and on LeSportsac.com beginning in June 2011 and a coupon for COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor will accompany each purchase. Super cute!
