Miami “HTC One” Trip Day 2 – Yardbird, Yacht, Soho Beach House

Miami “HTC One” Trip Day 2 – Yardbird, Yacht, Soho Beach House

Saturday, March 31, 2012 by Wendy Lam

One the second day (Monday) of my Miami “HTC One” trip, I started out the day at Yardbird for lunch. That spot is definitely one of my faves down at Miami now, so yummy! After that I went on a yacht trip for a tour of Miami on the 82ft Alandrea boat, it was the perfect weather for it. Dinner was at the Soho Beach House.

The highlight of the night was when we headed to the HTC One advertising shoot. HTC claim that the One, with integrated Beats Audio can make any system sound better. So for their second commercial they decided to test it with no professional equipment except for the phone. When I arrived at a disused building in Little Haiti, DJ Switch from London was on the 1s and 2s, and there were a ton of wires on the floor connected to portable speakers wired together using a Mult Box. All of which were connected to the HTC One X for sound, it was pretty amazing. The music was played out through 12 cars systems, 3 modified bikes, a wall of speakers and an ice cream cart and was attended by 500 partygoers over two days. Below you can get a sneak peek behind-the-scenes of the shoot.
