Yesterday you’ve seen a sneak peek of the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M lookbook, now here’s the full look and prices (only for the pieces in the lookbook). I’m super duper excited about this collaboration, everything looks so amazing and more wearable than I initially thought when I saw the ad campaign. Do you agree? I’m already making up my wishlist, um like everything please?

According to the press release, “the collaboration presents a re-edition of iconic Maison Martin Margiela garments and accessories for men and women. Each piece is labeled with a unique tag indicating the season from which it originated, spanning 23 years since the Maison’s founding.” Once again bravo to Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M and H&M, such a good job!

The collection consists of apparel and accessories for both men and women. Releasing on November 15th in around 250 H&M stores worldwide and online. Stay tuned for more updates…

The models are swimming in these oversized clothes. I can't see these pieces looking flattering on anyone.

  2. Jen says:

Unfortunately, the men's pieces are more appealing and wearable than the women's oversized mess of a collection. What a disappointment.

  3. J.R. says:

The prices for the coats and shoes are higher than usual. Expecting the quality will reflect that.

So so so in love with all of this. The shapes are incredible. Especially love that ivory coat and the red dress. Splendid!

  5. Sam says:

    Why is everythng so expensive!?

  6. Sebastian says:

Hey nitrolicious :) really good report :D do you know how much will be the other men look the one with the belted vest?

honestly, none of these are wearable (for women). i've always liked previous designer collabs but this one is very disappointing. also, i don't think these are quite margiela's best pieces. the plexi wedge boot is awesome, but what about the tabi? i feel a lot of the actual good stuff is disincluded.

  9. Cmas says:

OMG IT'S SO EXPENSIVE. Like, five years ago, those were the prices for real designer shoes. The quality had better be there. This is the most expensive collaboration to date for H&M, after Versace, and we all know Versace cheaped out on leather and materials to spend more money on promotion and advertising.

  10. june says:

Wow, this stuff is awful. For the average woman, WHERE would it be ok to wear these outfits? Too sloppy for work, too much fabric for play. I agree with the previous posts that the plexi wedge is pretty awesome but $399, it better be some amazing buttery leather – not the type of leather H&M currently carries.

    • san says:

i have the originals from margiela and unfortunately they aren't buttery leather either and they cost me about the same (actually less since i got mine on ebay)

  11. Stephanie says:

umm.. the bodysuit, the glove clutch and def the candy wrapper clutch so sweet!!!

  12. Sebastian says:

Like if i was getting everything i want it would be 2321.9 dollars :( and i think this is out of taxes right? that's sadly really out of my wage… good bye ( guitar bag, leather shirt, boots, Leather Belt Jacket and fake fur coat :'( this 2 hurted me the most :( ). H&M customers dont have that much money, i think a lot of things would be on sale later DONT WORRY, like no offence but this is not THAT wearable, Marni, Lanvin, etc for going to work and things like that and Versace for parties. People this days wouldn't buy a 349 dollars coat just to leave it on a closet… i hope margiela cut the prices, like 50% or 60% specially in my two favourite items hahaha Please nitrolicious try to tell them people is complaining about the prices :( hahaha

  13. Fotoboi says:

I think I will get the mini iPad instead

  14. jjovana3 says:

Wow, this stuff is ugly and overpriced. When a 100lb, 5'10 girl is SWIMMING in fabric, can you imagine how any of this stuff would look on an average woman? Also, $400 for ONE item at H&M? The quality better be top notch otherwise people truly are sheep.

  15. Bee says:

Prices make NO sense whatsoever. Lanvin for H&M dresses were $199, what are they thinking?! Why would anyone buy H&M quality when you can buy the REAL deal for a few hundred more?!…….

  16. Vieve says:

Those oversized jeans make me nauseas

  17. Mercedes says:

I bought the black sideways dress on sale at H&M for $15 bucks. Am i going to wear it sideways? HELL NO. Is the fabric nice? Unfortunately, no- it's some 70's reminiscent polyester , but warm. I've modeled and I can appreciate a designer's vision, but for me, I tried the dress on both the "normal" way that most people would try it on (collar on the collar, buttons in front, belt normal, arms in the sleeves) and the sidways way, and the normal way is much better. I'm going to cut out the left huge "sleeve", which when worn the normal way turns out to be fashioned on the inside back like a train, and sew up the hole for a sweet pilgrim meets fashionista look :)
